     Wow wow wow. So much love and support for the last post and the blog. Thank you so much! I guess I shouldn't follow every post with a thank you post but this one time I think it will be okay. So, thank you.

Grandpa's Grumblings


My grandpa is 95, he will be 96 next month. Today he made a joke about suicide, I think. 

(Begin scene.)

Hearing Aid Man: Your hearing has gotten much worse. I had to increase your prescription quite a bit.
Grandpa: Should I just shoot myself in the head?
(Pause.)
Hearing Aid Man: (pause.) (pause.) (pause.) Heh, no, Sir.

(End scene.)

But, for reals, Grandpa, what would be the point? You're in the 10th inning already.
Leave suicide to the young kids.*
So yeah, Grandpa is a hoot.

Other News 

     In other news, I did something kinda crazy today. I went to Subway and I got a salad and I really liked it. I was debating if I should wait the full 8 hours before giving this glowing review but what the heck, yolo. If you're wondering why I didn't just house my sandwich in those convenient 11 inch loaves of bread... bread gives me the poops. I know, I know we just met but these are just the facts. I believe everyone should talk about their different allergies and aliments because that's how we learn stuff. I was in super denial because bread is life but I probably could have avoided lots of pain and discomfort by just talking and learning from people. So if bread gives you the poops, investigate that ish.
     (So, Subway... *winkwink* I hear you need a new representative. Holler at your girl. Me. I'm your girl. Victoria "the poops" Yepes.)

Exciting Things!          Soooooo.... I competed in the first round of the 'Last Comic Stranded' comedy competition at Side Splitters. It was super duper fun. Nice crowd. Blahblah blahh long story short... I'm moving on to the final round!        WahWahwahWahhhh. ::airhorn:: Woot woot.  (Tied for second. Some serious skin of my teeth ish. Luckily, I gots some skinny teeth.)          Hooray!!! Contests aren't stupid and random! I was just kidding before! haha. hehe. Disregard the last post. Last Comic Stranded

Comedy Competition      This Saturday (08/18/18 - what a sweet date), I'm participating in the 'Last Comic Stranded' comedy competition at Side Splitters Comedy Club in Tampa, Fla. 20 comics (10 in one show, 10 in another) will compete for 4 spots in the final round. And the winner gets to go on a cruise (!) and more importantly, open for Robert Kelly, on said cruise.       Comedy competitions are weird. Basically, ya gotta just view them as stage time and stage time is cool. With 10 people doing 5 minutes time, it's anyone frikkin game. Which is exciting and irritating at the same time. Sometimes these contests favor newer comics because more established comedians are used to having 20+ minutes to ease in and get comfy. I've seen some headliners take 5 minutes just to introduce themselves and say their name (and others crush for 5). Whereas newer comics may only have 5 minutes of material, so it's jokey joke time right from the get. ...
